I can say however that this is one of the best anime films I've ever seen. It is definitely worth a watch if you think this is a film you can get with.

Some of the translations are very bizarre and don't even make sense. The plot of the movie is also weird, about a woman, apparently an alcoholic, who walks around town one night drinking enough liquor to get an army intoxicated but she never gets sick or seems to feel the effect of the alcohol.

In the meantime a man with a crush on her follows her around, kind of creepy. I would not have even finished watching if the animation itself weren't so good.

This is not for everyone. Ended up liking this a lot more than I thought I would. The story is split into 4 parts, which can make it seem a bit disjointed, but it's purposeful.

The film has some symbolism and metaphors that viewers will need to consider to fully appreciate the film. Great movie with unique animation style ,no movie has ever made me miss japan and the amazing drinking culture and meeting strangers in the city of tokyo definitely worth the buy.

This was more like Tatami Galaxy but with a girl, and same message as the director likes to put in most of his stuff - Life is short, you can dream forever but eventually you are going to have to face reality, grow up and get married I guess I thought the ending was a bit hurried Tatami Galaxy takes almost the same characters and stories but ends it a bit more realistically I think Mind Game doesn't focus on as much of the love aspect, but of the adversity of life and standing up to it.

The visuals were amazing in all of what this director does and each project should be seen at least for the visuals.

One person found this helpful. Truly one of the most exceptional animated films of the decade. A dizzingly wild and original jaunt through a delightfully surreal Kyoto where anything can happen.

Even time itself can't escape the blisteringly exhilarating pace of this film you'll see what I mean. I wouldn't hesitate to call this film a masterpiece.

Top reviews from other countries. First off, this movie is not for everyone, and there are plenty of things in the film that may be charming and likeable to one person and frustrating to others.

This movie reuses characters and ideas from a show called The Tatami Galaxy, however you do not need to have seen that show to like this film.

I had only seen one episode of Tatami and could still follow the 'plot' well enough. I say 'plot' in quotation marks because this film doesn't really have one, which may effect your enjoyment.

It starts out as a pub crawl style film, with a black haired girl or Otome, which means the same thing exploring and drinking while a man known as Senpai stalks her to try and confess his love.
